Hello. My name is Cheryl and I welcome you to My Elvis Presley Blog.
On January 8th, 2007, when Elvis would have turned 72, something happened to me. I had never been much of a fan before but, like nearly everyone else, I remember exactly where I was when I heard about his death. On this particular day in 2007 when I heard on the radio that it was his birthday, a barely audible ping when off in my head and I heard myself whisper “Elvis.”
Before I knew it, I had fallen head over heels in love with a man who had been dead nearly 30 years. After reading dozens of books, collecting almost all of his music and movies, 2+ years later I still love Elvis with all my heart. But it’s different than when I began this journey.
