Elvis Presley: Today in History – August 10th, 1958
Elvis performed at the Showroom, International Hotel, Las Vegas. This was the opening night of the engagement which was opened with a dinner show. More proof that Elvis could wear anything and make it look so good.

Today in History: August 6, 1962
Anita Wood announced in the paper that she and Elvis had broken up. She moved out of Graceland and returned home to Jackson, Tennessee, because, she said: ” It is evident that Elvis is not yet ready to settle down.”
